padlock on the submit form field 2007/05/20 22:35 Karma: 0
Each time I've created a form I have a problem creating a submit button. I create the field, hit "apply" so I can view it, then I attempt to leave the screen but each link on that screen becomes unresponsive. It leaves me with the only option of going completely out of forme to the main admin page for Joomla. When I return to forme, the form that I was working with now has a padlock icon next to it where there is normally a checkbox. If I open the form to edit, the submit button I created also has the padlock next to it. It will not let me edit that field. I uninstalled and re-installed forme with no change. What am I doing wrong?

Could you tell me if you are using Firefox 2.0 ? I noticed some strange behavior too in FF. Let me know.

Yes, I was using Firefox 2. Didn't try IE7 though.

I was having this problem also, and I accidentally clicked on the submit button in the field preview, and I think that solved the problem. I think after that the lock still showed but I was able to click on save and apply in the edit field window, and then after resaving and closing, the lock disappeared.

I had this problem as well, using FireFox 2.0 while editing a submit button. The preview of the submit button makes it so that the joomla admin buttons (save, close, apply, etc) no longer work, but I was able to save my changes and exit by clicking on the Submit button in the field preview like msstein24 - except it saved my changes and the lock was gone.

The problem on FF2.0 & submit button is now saved for the field edit. Just update your forme, and should be ok.
